Hue is located in central Vietnam on the banks of the Sông Hương (Perfume River), just a few miles west of the South China Sea. It is about 540 km south of the national capital of Hanoi and about 644 km north of Hồ Chí Minh City. There are the royal citadel, emperor's tomb, etc in the center of the historic city.
